The storm is expected to make landfall over the next 24 hours. Based on the current forecasted path, it appears landfall in the Big Bend area is likely. As such, Blue Streak is taking necessary precautions to prepare and protect our personnel, facilities, and equipment. Here’s a breakdown of the operational adjustments for the upcoming days:
Tuesday 8/29:
All line haul connectivity to and from Tampa, Lakeland, Sarasota, and Tallahassee will be shut down. It is expected to resume Wednesday night.
Wednesday 8/30:
Sarasota, Tampa, Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City, Tallahassee – All pickup and delivery operations will be suspended in these markets. Operations are expected to resume on Thursday 8/31.
Jacksonville – all pickup and delivery operations will suspend at 11am. Operations are expected to resume on Thursday 8/31.
The Atlanta connectivity to/from Florida will be suspended Wednesday night. It is expected to resume Thursday night.
