UPS AND FEDEX RATE INCREASES – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

UPS recently announced its rate increase for 2015, and for the first time, both FedEx and UPS will be charging for ground-shipped packages based on the size of a package instead of just the weight. The shipping giants are raising all of their rates by 4.9% in 2015. UPS rates will be in effect December 29, 2014, and FedEx rates increase on January 5, 2015.

With fewer price differences between the two carriers, consumers will be looking for other, more economical ways to send their packages. Blue Streak Couriers offers many low-cost solutions to your shipping needs. We provide a broad array of time-definite messenger and courier services, parcel services, cargo and freight shipping solutions. Depending on the urgency of your shipment, we can facilitate same-day delivery and next-day delivery service by ground or air. Rush shipping services are also available for same-day and overnight delivery. Blue Streak Couriers handles all types of parcel service from on-demand pickup and delivery to routed and scheduled courier service.

FUEL SURCHARGE TO DECREASE IN NOVEMBER

Because of a decrease in fuel surcharges in the past month nationwide, Blue Streak’s fuel charge will decrease to 8% in November. Our fuel surcharge continues to be among the lowest in the region.

How it’s calculated: If the national average price of regular unleaded fuel* is above $1.79 during the last week of any given month, the surcharge will be in effect on the first day of the following month.
