SLIGHT INCREASE IN FUEL SURCHARGE FOR AUGUST

Considering the increase in fuel prices during July, Blue Streak's fuel surcharge will increase to 12% for July. With this, our fuel surcharge continues to be among the lowest in the region.

How it's calculated: If the average price* of regular, unleaded fuel is above $1.79 during the last week of any given month, the surcharge will be in effect on the first day of the following month.

BLUE STREAK NAMED ONE OF FIFTY FASTEST GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES

Thanks to our customers, Blue Streak was again named to the list of the 50 fastest growing privately held companies on the First Coast. This marks the second consecutive year Blue Streak has been honored. The 2011 honorees - compiled by the Jacksonville Business Journal and certified by Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs - were recognized at a luncheon in the West Touchdown Club of EverBank Field on July 14.

BLUE STREAK PARTICIPATES IN CALIFORNIA DELIVERY ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

Harold Boyett, President of Blue Streak and Vice President of the Florida Messenger Association, recently attended the California Delivery Association (CDA) meeting in Irvine, CA July 22-23. "This was a wonderful opportunity to meet with peers from another state, learn some of their best practices as well as provide support to a sister association," said Boyett. "I am glad I was able to participate as I believe this 'cross pollination' benefits not only the industry as a whole, but also the individual member companies," he added.
